How about overlooking the vines in Carmel Valley at Sunset with a bottle of champagne on ice standing by! This proposal was planned and set up by myself and the Carmel Valley Ranch amazing staff. Set up were chairs/blankets/pillows and a fire pit. Gunnar told his girlfriend Haley that he wanted to watch the sunset from a specia...l spot at the hotel where they were staying. The brought down their own bottle of wine as well. A few of us were down on the deck pretending to be taking commercial shots for their website (strobes up/etc.) and when they walked down the hill we said Hi, oh we are just about finished feel free to sit down. So they sat, relaxed .. I snuck off back into the trees with my long lens and we waited. She said YES and then the rest was history. After the proposal we surprised them with champagne for a toast. We finished their session by walking around the vines and in the vineyard lawn at the Ranch. She was super surprised and did not know it was coming. Hundreds of proposals later - I love doing them for couples and helping them find the perfect way to say will you marry me. Think picnics/flowers/bonfires at a private venue/park/beach on a cliff.
