Healdsburg Resort House

OK, I know this is bucking the trend of Corona news lately, but may I present a lovely dish of chicken and waffles. Had a lovely day yesterday wine tasting and eating out with some close friends. Went to Holdredge, Coursey Graves and Stuhlmuller wineries. Sweet T's for lunch (chicken and waffles) and Chalkboard for dinner. Healdsburg is definitely open. Interesting, winery traffic was light (which was actually nice because you could really engage with the winemakers and they were super appreciative for us coming out). However restaurants were pretty crowded (but able to get in with no notice). We took precautions (hand sanitizer, elbow bumped instead of handshake, etc) and felt great being able to shut off the constant barrage of Corona for a day.

OMG. I just love the restaurant at Madrona Manor (and no we receive no compensation for this post). Every time Leslie and I go, I say it is the best yet, and again last night it was. And not just the food, but the service. Like a bonehead, I spilled something on my shirt. Within a minute and without asking, a glass of soda water and a napkin appeared. What a truly hidden gem in Healdsburg. Here are some of the amazing dishes from last night...

New paint and carpet in the downstairs bedrooms and sunroom. Nice.

Going to add this to our breakfast reco list, great new place in Windsor: Down To Earth Cafe.

Had dinner at the revamped Brass Rabbit, now a pasta house. Gotta be honest, was a little skeptical paying $20-25 per dish for pasta. But, wow. Really tasty, not too expensive and great service. Also, dont miss the pear sorbet.
