While you can find lists of 10, 20, and even 30 "must-follow" rules, I'm here to share with you my three favorite and truly the TOP must-dos. 1 Post Consistently. Not only is this a must-do for algorithms and all of that fancy stuff, but it's really for your followers! You never want them to feel abandoned, as they followed you because they LIKE to see your con...tent. Do them the service they deserve, and keep it comin'! 2 Be SOCIAL. Received a comment? Reply! Perhaps share the love and go comment on their posts in return. Find brands/people that you love, and follow them. Remember: social media is SOCIAL. 3 Leave it at the door. Seriously, no one likes a Negative Nancy. Being transparent, honest, open, and personable is a social media must. Complaining about a bad transaction or blasting a rude customer openly on the internet? Not so much. Stay positive and honest. Even vulnerable depending on who you are and the brand you're building. But leave the negativity and toxicity far, far away. BONUS TIP (because I can't help myself) Don't spam. No one likes to login, feel the excitement of a new comment, and have it say "COME FOLLOW MY PAGE!!!!" Really - if you're going to comment (and you should) be genuine.
