We don't "just" install pre-finished floors, we create pieces of art! Last week's job was an Unfinished Walnut that we installed, sand and finished in home, in a beautiful Herringbone and Log Cabin pattern as well as installed custom made vents to match.

Custom, hand made Bordeaux Parquet flooring installed, stained and finished to match existing Bordeaux Parquet floors.

During this trying time in our country as we all try to stay safe all of us here at Hardwood Floor Company are doing everything we can to follow all the COVID-19 guidelines and are doing our part so that we can keep our doors open. Although we are working limited hours due to this crisis we are here daily at 8am and usually close between noon and 3pm. Since this quarantine began how many of you have been doing some Spring cleaning and thinking about getting new floors? We/re open and ready to help you with your flooring project.

What do you do when your current hardwood flooring is discontinued but you want to add more hardwood throughout the home? Instead of installing a reducer (which isn't as aesthetically pleasing), we can add borders!

Don't let water ruin your holidays this year! It happens like clockwork each year, after the Christmas trees are removed, the flooring takes a beating and sometimes the hardwood floors need to be repaired. The main culprit; water. This happens when watering the tree and there is spillage, etc. Sometimes there are sap marks or water spots; other times, the flooring is stained, cupped and/or separated and needs to be replaced. The second issue with Christmas trees is that the... pine needles fall down and scratch the floors.Thankfully, if you take the right precautions to protect you hardwood flooring, you won’t have to worry about repairing them (or replacing the wood). Prepare a barrier to go between the Christmas tree and your hardwood floors. Before the Christmas tree arrives in the house, be sure to set up the stand and protect the floors. This will prevent the water (and the pine needles) from reaching the hardwood flooring and damaging the finish. The best protection is to purchase a rectangular drain trays that go under washing machines from Home Depot / Lowes. These will collect any excess water from the stand and won’t allow the water to penetrate or overflow. Be sure to vacuum and use a microfiber mop often to clear off the pine needles. The fallen needles can scratch up your floors.We'd recommend doing this at least daily (more often if needed). When cleaning your floor, makes sure you are only using Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner which you can purchase here at Hardwood Floor Co. Merry Christmas from Hardwood Floor Co.
