I am trying to help our friend Lindsay offset the cost of having to quickly cover the vet bills for her amazing hearing/emotional support dog Ginger. Ginger is Lindsay's service dog. Lindsay is Deaf but has two Cochlear implants, and Ginger has served as her hearing dog in addition to being an emotional support dog. She alerts Lindsay to certain sounds through her body language and has provided Lindsay a way to make sense of the sounds in her environment. Unexpectedly, on... April 20th, Ginger fell ill. It was discovered she had internal bleeding in her abdomen, caused by a tumor in her spleen. Within 24 hours, Lindsay has faced upwards of $4500 in vet ER, overnight stay and surgery bills. Ginger is now recovering at home and further lab tests will hopefully reveal the tumor is benign. Fingers crossed! Lindsay is a true giver and a caretaker at heart. She has been working as a nanny, in addition to working as a volunteer and sliding scale-based doula, helping moms and families in need. Meanwhile, she is also caring for her dad who is living with her. And now Lindsay needs our help. I know times are tough for many of us, but if we all give just a little, together we can make a big difference for Lindsay and Ginger in this, their time of need. With gratitude, Bill White
