Our long time friend Dodgers Great Don Newcombe Has Died at Age 92. Many of you know that Don has been a Hall of Fame Sports Exclusive for many years.....Don was much more than just a business associate to me. He was my friend.......I am sorry, I cannot find the words right now. I will have more to say soon.... Many of you have items that were left for Don to sign, some of those were completed some were not as Don's condition worsened in the last few weeks. Most of you know by now that Legendary Coach and Player Tom Flores was denied entry into this years NFL Hall of Fame Class. I'm not going to get into the statistical comparison to others who have made it in (but the comparison stats sure looked like a strong case to me) ....lets just say I am disappointed in the decision, as I am sure many of you are as well. I cant help but think of the Kenny Stabler situation where Kenny did not get to enjoy that day as he passed away the... year before his induction. I sincerely hope that the same fate does not befall Coach. We are pleased to announce that The Raiders First Quarterback, Coach, 4 Time Super Bowl Champion and all around great man will be appearing at this years Raiderfest. I don't usually stump for guests like this but.....It is my sincere hope that Raider Nation, and fans of all sports will turn out to show this man how much he is appreciated.
