Working on a new technique and wow...Surprise!! As with anything new there’s going to be a learning curve and adjustments to make. Not quite what I was going for, but these are the only 5 worth saving. I repurposed the rest, so watch for them in another post. For now, these are a bit patriotic in color and smell wonderful. I used blue indigo powder, titanium dioxide, and madder root for the colors and blue tansy, grapefruit, and lavender and sage essential oils for the scent! These round soaps fit soooo nicely in your hand too. just an FYI, the pattern on one side is definitely not the same on the other side and the pattern will change as you use it! Kind of like the magic mirror on Romper Room.

Ok, experimenting with natural and plant based coloring, let’s just say there are certain colors that will be....challenging! Take blue indigo for example. Should be straight forward, it’s used to color clothes right? Let’s just say this did not turn out the way I had hoped, so we’ll call this one.... Rhapsody in Blue Agave Scented with Blue Tansy and Juniper Berry, these smell wonderful!!! Even though they went through a rhapsodic change before my eyes, they found their ow...n shade of blue Check out the comments on each photo for what you see happening.
