Look at that gorgeous hair I did at the #lovewinsout event. This was a beautiful event where a whole bunch of local Los Angles vendors agreed to come together. With everything that is happening in society today we wanted to show, in some small way, that we support equal rights and LGBT rights. It was a beautiful thing to be a part of. People always tell me it's hard to #blowout their own hair, so I thought I'd share this demo on how I do my own blowouts. First I have shoulder length fine hair, so the end look and technique changes depending on your hair. I make sure I wet all the problem areas that tend to curl or stick up, then bush it through (I prefer the #WetBrush) Then I blow dry my hair upside down till dry. (I tend to stop half way through and brush it again with the #MasonPearson nylon & bristle br...ush) Once dry I flip my head back over and take big sections and wrap it up in the round brush (#BioIonic for this technique because it acts like a curling iron when heated up) I keep the brush and the heat of the blow dryer moving up and down or back an forth, so as not to over heat the hair in one area. Once the section is warm, you set your blow dryer down and slowly unravel your hair, but as you get to the last 3 inches you slowly twist it around your ends a couple of times to smooth the ends. You want slight pressure when you're tugging the hair but you should not feel any tangles during this time. Then twist in a barrel roll on top of your head (I like to wrap it around two fingers to help) and hold in place with a duck bill clip. Repeat for each section, at least 8-10 sections.
