So, here it is guys.. I’ve been starring at my phone for way longer than I’d like to admit trying to figure out what to say. If you haven’t heard yet the salon has been closed for a little over a week due to the governors order, again. I’ve put a lot of thought and research into the suggestion of working outdoors, and with all the restrictions that come with working outdoors I’ve decided I won’t be doing it. The restrictions they put on working outside limit me to dry haircut...s only, I would have to stay close to the salon but not block the side walk giving me no actual place to set up, the salon is also very close to a few restaurants which could leave people with hair flying into there food, both me and my clients will have to wear masks in 90 degree weather which could cause health concerns, and lastly its always been illegal to work outside so there are no insurance companies that will cover me working outside. I hope everyone will understand and support my decision during this tough time. With that being said, I’d like to introduce you all to my new co-worker(she needs a bit of work, she’s new). Before the shut down we enrolled in A LOT of of hair classes together that have all now moved online. This is our current set up we put the class on the big screen, light our @love_thehairlounge candle, and get to work. Over the next few days/weeks of the shut down I will be perfecting all my new styles, color formulas, cut techniques, color placements, and TWO different type of extensions with the hopes of having them all ready for reopening. I’m currently in the process of getting certified in hand tied weft extensions & hand tied hidden weft extension, I’m so excited to share all this new knowledge with my amazing clients. I cannot wait to see and visit with everyone once again, but until then I will be (attempting) to film some how to hair styles videos for everything to try out during quarantine.
