When coming into the salon for a change in color or even a haircut, I always start with a consultation asking what your daily routine is, what products you use, do you like to heat style? When changing your hair, I always suggest you bring in some inspiration perhaps 5 pictures, 3 of hair color/cut you like, 2 of ones you DO NOT like, this helps me better understand what you want to see in your hair as an end result. I hope this helps!

Meet @jem037a I have been doing her hair for years... We started with Red Violet really vibrant for a few years then we went blonde took us a few sessions, then we went back to Red Violet hair for a very long time and then right before the pandemic hit last year in 2020 we went from Red Violet to this! It took us like 4-5 sessions to do this. Low and Slow is always best.. ... Thank you for always letting me play and trusting me in the process... Oh and let’s stay blonde thru the summer

Did you notice the time change? Spring is here.. Caramel vibes on a brunette... She hadn’t colored her hair in years and wanted a change but not too drastic... even tho I think she should go blonder over time ... Have you been thinking of changing your already brunette hair? When was the last time you colored your hair? Pre pandemic?

Enhancing your already natural grey hair is everything If you are grey but don’t want the commitment don’t be afraid to take it up a notch and add some lightness to it, and that’s exactly what we did she looks amazing

Would you believe me if I told you I did her highlights more then 2 months ago? Look at that grow out.... Seamless..... She is a traditional foil highlight, she came in yesterday wanting a change... a haircut... she hasn’t had layers in years but she wanted volume. Long layers and healthy hair cut off the ends will totally change your hair, this gave her volume texture and made her beautiful long hair look fuller and healthier. What are you waiting for? Don’t get afraid to cut your hair!

HIGHLIGHTS VS. BALAYAGE HL retouch every 4-6 weeks Balayage retouch 3-4 months HL get you brighter all over, even lightness, no dark roots... Balayage is a rooty look darker on top both can have soft grow out just one needs a retouch sooner HL are for everyone really, Balayage not so much especially if you have darker or previously colored hair very hard to get lighter What do I like better? Classic highlights hands down! I’m not always feeling the rooty look anymore I like the brightness at the top

I love a beautiful seamless blonde! What does that mean? Soft grow out, no harsh lines, and the hair color just flows! How to care for your blonde hair:... color safe shampoo, avoid sulfates, silicones and parabens Moisture Conditioner, some may feel heavy for blonde hair if that’s the case switch to a color safe one AVOID purple shampoo please, why? Bc it dries out your hair, it might be a quick fix for your blonde hair but it really dries out the hair and after using it often the hair looks dull INSTEAD TRY a shower head water filter always use a leave in after the shower invest a great hair mask you can do every other week You can pop in and purchase products at the salon for your convenience just give me a heads

Did 2020 make you want to change your hair? It sure did, going from super long to short is a drastic change but I promise you it’s way easier to maintain! Less Shampoo Usage Easier to style... Doesn’t tangle as much I had so much fun with the cut and color we went a little lighter to brighten it up

Chocolate Something so subtle gives the hair so much dimension and shine... We went for a way more natural look for a fall/winter look and I’m in love with it. ... We only went two shades lighter and really gave it those warm rich tones you see. Are you ready for the holidays? Get your holiday hair on!

Look at that blend When she came in she originally wanted to go darker but if you look at her before she needed some brightness not a lot but just enough to give her dimension, with keeping her natural roots on the dark side it still gives her that FALL HAIR... And then we finished it off with some curtain bangs ... Have you been thinking about bangs? On my Bio you can peep my website and book online

After a color service I always recommend keeping up with your haircuts in between, how often 6-8 weeks. Kevin Murphy Shampoo & Conditioner my fav is the Young Again Wash & Rinse... Use a leave-in that has heat protectant properties to help protect the hair Finish off with a serum to tame those fly aways and seal those ends All these products are available for in salon pickup at your convenience What products are you currently using and do you like them?

When was the last time you got your hair done? I’m sure it’s been a while, are you not sure what you want to do to your hair? Do you want to go lighter or darker for fall/winter? Do we still follow those seasonal trends? Do you want to let your hair grow out or cut it? I always love to go for the change in your hair, doing the same thing over and over gets really boring, or even just playing the safe card. ... If you have been thinking of trying something new, go for it! We went darker on her hair to give it a break, with going darker it gave her more dimension and even with the big chop we did we still managed to make it look long! I will be in San Jose 11/1-11/2 if you want your hair done comment below... Tag a friend on my post who would like to get some hair inspiration
