I’m almost ready to take out my extensions. Almost. I know I’ll miss my hair. It looks beachy when it’s not your own. This picture is 2 rows of hand tied wefts using the skinny weft method. It keeps you warm when it’s cold and hailing.

I have a new favorite thing! It’s a day of the week! It’s not Saturday or Sunday. It’s now Thursday. I’m using it once a month or so to take an overnight camping trip locally. Let me just say that camping off peak is the absolute best! Fewer people always makes me happy. ... This last one was at San Simeon state park. We also recently did Morro stand and MB state park. Any other suggestions for me?! Probably a 2 hour max drive.

Did you know I’m employee of the month?!? Hah. It’s true. And my competition was non existent since I work for myself. ... I truly would be afraid to work in an office again. I don’t even know that I could work at home either. Cheers to my friends that are able to work at home or for others and not go crazy! Would you ever work for yourself!? Or me!? See more

What kind of relationship do you have with your hair?! Do you love to hate it? Or do you hate it? Sometimes it’s too thin, too thick, too curly, too frizzy, too much of an ugly color or too short! Some of these can be fixed by with extensions and some can be fixed with a simple demineralization treatment. ... If you want to add a pop of color, add some dimension or change up the length then extension are for you. It’s a great way to give yourself a change. I personally love wearing extensions to give me a bump up in density. But I’m pondering an underneath color change. In case you are wondering this is a @skinnyweft tune up. The once every four week hair adjustment. What have been your burning questions about extensions?! See more

Want to know a little something about me? Hahah. Too bad if you don’t! 1 I had my 21st anniversary of doing hair at the end of September. Which is crazy l! 2 I love love Lake Tahoe any time but my favorite is late September. It’s crisp for fall but still warm and gorgeous!... 3 My hair passion is extensions. I love them because my pony tail and braids look amazing. 4 I’m so grateful that I’m still doing hair after all these years. I still happy not to be working for any one else! 5 I’m a cat mom. Or maybe I’m just the nanny. They love @facescapesbyjohn more than they do me. I’m so excited for the rest of the year and 2021. It’s going to be fun. I hope you enjoyed a little about me. Leave a comment if they made you laugh. See more

It’s my favorite time of the year!!!! What can I say!? Fall is all about richness of color and food! First of all let’s start with the Halloween candy and go on through potatoes and skip the turkey! This lovely @pharmasaurusrx was ready for all that richness. Even though it was about 1000 degrees when we did her hair. ... What’s you favorite season?! Why does it involve bobbing for apples?! I’m offering something new for my extension people. It’s called partial.ly. It’s a lay away plan. It’s all automatic. 1You put down a set amount for a down payment. ... 2We decide on how long and 3how much you want to pay. 4Once you have hit the half way point, hair is purchased. 5The install happens once the entire amount is paid. There is a small fee for the use of this option. Otherwise all options are available for payment. This is a lower cost to you since the small fee is lower than most credit cards charge. It makes extensions not such a big purchase on your credit card. Ps. This hair before extensions is just below neck length. See more

What makes extensions a success?!? The ability to wear them straight and to put them up in to a ponytail or bun. ... @skinnyweft method gives you options for easy up swept hair. The weft says nicely hidden. What do you expect of your extension? See more

Soooo. Dimensional hair. What does that even mean? It means that the every hair is not one color. It has some highlights or some ends that have been in the sun. People don’t want the shoe polish hair. Flat and ugly is not the way to go. So this beauty wanted some more exciting hair. I’ve had a few clients dealing with our crazy new existence where you work at home and you sleep at work. So a big change is in order. Her color is a gorgeous deep red for the autumn. . Change is in the air. It could be hope. Go vote.

I bet you don't know that I have a blog on my website. Today's post is for all my zoom ladies. Got a meeting and still don't want to do your hair? It's the quickest and easiest ponytail on earth. Ok. That's a lie. It's the second easiest. It's also perfect for my extension ladies because it can hide the weft with the first knot. https://www.hairbyalison-slo.com//work-at-home-ponytail-bu

You know @rosedawg70. She is always my muse for extensions. This time we are trying out a combo of itip and ktips from @bellamihairpro.

How long your hair extension hair lasts is up to you....it’s all in the after care. 1. Make sure to wash once a week. And do as my friend @nataliadidmyhair does...it’s called the bum wash. It starts at your bangs and then throughout the week start going back to the top weft. This is definitely for those people that are super oily and don’t love dry shampoo 2. Give it some serious love in the form of a mask. We love @davines oi butter mask. It moisturizes the ha...ir beautifully and makes it silkier. 3 Don’t forget to brush and oil daily. At least twice a day. It helps keeps the tangles out and look more like you grew it yourself. 4. Sleep in a braid! Or bun it up. Braids give you cute beach waves and will help the hair not get tangled and snarled while you are sleeping. It also helps to preserve any curls that you have put in previously. 5 Don’t treat your hair poorly. Don’t turn up your heat tools too high. Your hair has been processed a bunch. Extensions are a great way to play with color, length and density in your hair. See more

Gratitude. It’s pretty much all I’ve got this year. 2020 has been a trying year. It showed me my true colors and that of friends and family. I’ve had friends call in and check on me...especially during a point where I thought I was drowning in solitude. Most people I know are living their regular life albeit working at home and living at work. I’ve had friends send me money. Either from products purchases or just a prize for being their friend. It makes me smile.... It also has made me realize the value of my friendships and how much I missed them during the lock up and beyond. Thanks everyone who did something special for me. I’m grateful and appreciative. Did anyone do something spectacular for you this year that you are grateful for? See more

Want to know what’s special about her hair?! Well.....she has wavy extensions in her hair. Gotta love the wavy extensions. This is a game changer for my wavy gals. Even the curly ones have good options. @olivhann barely even wears the extensions straight and smooth. Mainly she wears it wavy and air-dried. Properly, of course, by drying the connection points first. Thanks to @adored_signature_handtied_hair for their lovely wavy hair. ... No masks were harmed in the making of this photo. We walked out to 105 and were promptly sweating. I could barely survive out in the hot air I’m sure covid couldn’t either. See more
