Hair Extensions are a girls accessory! This transformation was so fun and so gratifying! Hair extensions can give you the length & fullness you’ve always wanted but without the years it’ll take to grow out your natural hair...and for some of us who have fine textured hair it can be impossible for us to ever achieve this kind of fullness without enhancing our hair with hair extensions. I have personally worn hair extensions on and off for the past 15 years. Start...ing with the keratin bonds and beaded methods, I took a break from wearing extensions for a few years after they completely damaged my hair...I then discovered the method of tape-in hair extensions I have personally worn tape-ins for the past 6 years and my hair has never been longer and healthier in my entire life...after extensive research and trial on many different methods of hair extensions, I truly believe that tape-ins are the least damaging to the hair and the hair follicle. The reason being is that the hair is NOT being over directed when applying the extension, the hair is sandwiched between two thin tape wefts laying in the hairs natural form when applied correctly. This not only prevents the hair from breakage but also makes them extremely comfortable to wear as long as you have them maintained every 6-8 weeks. When guests ask me what my favorite thing to do behind the chair is...my answer is hair extensions! Although I absolutely love doing color, hair extensions can instantly give you the long/thick hair you’ve always wanted without spending years growing out or damaging your hair! Fall is proof that change is beautiful! Change is beautiful!...and how stunning is this pumpkin spice latte inspired hair color?! I created this gorgeous look by adding tons of richness, depth and dimension to her already beautiful golden hair color. I used a rich copper brown formula using the reverse balayage technique for a seamless blend. Completed with an all over color gloss to give her tons of shine and longevity with her new hair color! ... I am seriously loving all of the colors of fall right now! Out with the ash and in with the warmth! Fall season is the perfect time to step out of your comfort zone and try something new...like switching up your hair color!

I have been absent from posting and engaging on social media lately, because I think it’s important to unplug and take a break from it all every so often! I am so excited for this second shutdown to be over (hopefully) soon! By all of us (me as your stylist, you as the guest, my fellow stylists and their guests) being incredibly diligent in following these new guidelines/protocols...is for your comfort and safety when coming into the salon, also keeping us stylists safe as we are risking our health and the health of our families by ... to be back to work. Thank you for keeping your mask on the entire time you are inside of the salon, more importantly while I’m within inches of your face to create beautiful hair for you. Most of you aren’t used to wearing a mask for long periods of time. That’s why I have stocked up on disposable masks that are totally breathable, comfortable and completely cover your nose and mouth to have available to you during your appointment! I know that your salon experience has been/will be a little different and unfortunately some of the things we love most about our hair appointment experience, like enjoying a cup of coffee/tea or even a nice glass of wine and snacks will NO longer be permitted during your visit with me, as to eat and/or drink you have to remove your mask. If at anytime during your appointment you feel you need a quick break from wearing your mask, you can step outside, and of course if you need a sip of water, I can step away for a moment! Despite everyone’s different views over this global pandemic we are currently in, it is important for me to err on the side of caution regardless, for my own protection, as working on the public puts me and my family at a much greater risk of contracting COVID. If I do contract COVID it’ll put me out of work again...which will not be ideal for anyone. IN LOVE with this Stunning Transformation! This lovely lady Elizabeth found me about 8 months ago, she had extremely dry/damaged hair. Her main goal (8 months prior) was to continue to grow out her hair even though it was dry and damaged, while having a natural looking hair color. At that time we did minimal balayage and only slightly trimmed her hair, since she was not ready to let go of her length...which was totally ok with me, as long as she was willing to do at ...home treatments to help restore her damaged hair. Her before photo shows that she still had a lot of breakage and grown out color after seeing her 8 months prior. ... to last night... Elizabeth came in ready to chop off ALL of her previously damaged hair that she wasn’t ready to let go of in her previous appointment. She wanted a darker, more dimensional color that wouldn’t damage her hair and WOW we nailed this stunning transformation! Just in time for her Birthday this week!!! Sometimes less is more, especially when dealing with fragile hair. To create this look I gave her a blended, bold face framing money piece to add brightness around her face, I brought a few lighter pieces up to create a soft blend (using olaplex of course!), adding lowlights reverse balayage to breakup her previously lightened hair while creating more contrast and dimension, without compromising the integrity or health of her hair. Yay! It’s SUNDAY & such a beautiful day!!! Back to work week 2, down! Wearing a mask all day is definitely not ideal but I’m finally getting used to it and I’m just so happy to see and talk to everyone!!!...I have created some beautiful hair in the past two weeks, and I can’t believe I don’t have any pictures to prove it! I have added extra time to each appointment to ensure I follow new guidelines & protocols 100% and that has taken priority to keep everyone safe, over taking after photos of my beautiful work! As I continue to adjust (if my hands don’t fall off from all the hand sanitizer ) and continue to get my groove back I definitely see hair photo shoots in the near future, and coming REAL soon! Now time for me to enjoy my only day off this week! Hope everyone has such a wonderful day!!!!

Who’s ready for some amazing post-quarantine transformations like this pre COVID-19 transformation?! Who would’ve thought that after more than two months of salons being shut down we still don’t have a set date to reopen?! I read a quote today that really hit home with me, The artist is nothing without the gift, but the gift is nothing without the work. Although I am incredibly grateful for all of the time I’ve devoted to utilizing tons of online education to perfect my ...craft, all the hours I’ve put in getting my business more organized, redoing my website, constant communication with clients, and all of the quality time with my wonderful husband and our two little (not so little) fur babies! ...Now more than ever I feel so incredibly lucky and passionate about what I get to do for a living, and there are no words to describe the piece of my heart that is missing from not being able to work and not being able to physically make other women look and feel beautiful on a daily basis, but I feel so blessed that being without my work shows me even more just how much I love what I do and I feel so lucky that I get to use my craft as my career. If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life. Although these times are uncertain, one thing that is certain is how much I miss creating beautiful hair. I am eager to get back to the salon to see all of your beautiful faces regardless of all of us having to wear a mask and not being able to hug...it will be so refreshing to see you all!
