The Board of Barbering and Cosmetology acknowledges and is sympathetic to the ever-changing environment that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has created for our licensees. Our role is to ensure the health and safety of California consumers by promoting ethical standards and by enforcing the laws of the barbering and beauty industry. For the safety of our consumers and our licensees, the Board continues to urge licensees to abide by the Governor’s stay at home order. We ha...ve heard of businesses disregarding the stay at home orders. If businesses continue to put public health and safety at risk by not following the state and local shelter in place orders, and if circumstances warrant it, the Board may pursue disciplinary action against their license. This will not be taken lightly. The Board is drafting a Returning to Work Checklist for establishments for when licensees are able to reopen safely. We want to make sure we are able to maintain consumer protection and help guide our licensees when the time is appropriate and directed by the Governor. Again, the Board fully supports the Governor’s stay at home order and we expect our licensees to comply. We thank you for your understanding and patience during this time. Hi there ladies and gentlemen!! Missing you all and I'm looking forward to getting back to work ! I decided NOT to color my hair while mandated to stay home GEE WHIZ I'm not liking it ! I respect & support gals that make that choice so far no bueno for moi' so I have a 5 week outgrowth and the silver is real !! Have a great Ressurection Day on Sunday we will all be doing it safely at a 6ft distance !

Ok now it's May 1st BUT with that being said we can only hope....

We have been mandated to close our doors at VIVID salon , we are told it will be for 2 weeks ! With a heavy heart I will comply, for your health safety and mine. Xoxo Jeanne
