H3K Design Spotlight: Canyon View Estates is an amazing development in the south-end of Palm Springs. Built in the early 1960’s and consisting of approximately 180 villa-style condominiums, the William Krisel designed architecture screams mid-century modern with creative butterfly rooflines and triangular clerestory windows. We love designing and restoring these gems! Recently, we completed this 3 bedroom 2 bathroom unit in one of the last ‘pods’ to be constructed in the deve...lopment. One of the unique and amazing aspects of this home is that it is perched on a hill overlooking the valley not only giving you showstopping views, but great privacy. One of our goals with the house was to take it back to its light and bright vibe. We recreated an interior courtyard off the guest bedroom, converted one of the bedrooms (which had already converted to a dining room) to an open media room, and realigned the kitchen to make it more spacious - allowing more light in and making it more user friendly. All the bathrooms were reconfigured for today’s living and, of course, keeping the skylights to once again allow more natural light. We truly loved working with these wonderful clients and creating their dream home. Check out these before and after photos!

BIG NEWS: We are growing! H3K Home is proud to announce a second location opening in Spring, 2021! Yes, that’s right, a 2nd showroom with even more FABULOUS décor and furniture for your home! The new second showroom will be located at 74180 Hwy 111 in Palm Desert.... With just over 5,000 sq feet of interior space as well as an expansive outdoor area, the new showroom will highlight the unique indoor-outdoor lifestyle in the Coachella Valley. More updates about the progress and we will announce the Grand Opening as soon as possible!

Happy Friday! Here’s a peek into a recent H3K TurnKey design completed by Travis & team in Bermuda Dunes! It’s my first project in the East Valley, and the first time a client wanted bunk beds! The clients are a family with kids. The clients were adventuresome and I loved their idea of ‘Industrial Bohemian!’ It was a fun departure for me to work with family-friendly pieces and a different look from Mid-Century Modern! The house has 12’ ceilings in some areas so it was important to find art with scale for those big walls. And I loved that the client wasn’t afraid of color of course! -Travis
