Guitarlina School of Music is a fast growing music school looking to hire a fun, engaging, innovative and knowledgeable individual for the position of instrumental music teacher. We are located in the Bay Area here in California 94513. Job duties include:... 1. Teaching music theory. 2. Teaching instrumentation techniques. 3. Engaging in student progress. 4. Professional development and self education on new instruments. 5. Communicating progress to parents and following up on students’ practice plans. Requirements: 1. Must be in a music program or has graduated from a music program. 2. Must know music theory and be able teach it. 3. Must be able to teach piano, guitar, ukulele, drums, and violin. 4. Must be proficient in playing at least one musical instrument. 5. Must be able to articulate student progress to parents. 6. Must be able to keep proper records of student’s activities, progress, and recommended assignments. 7. Interpersonal communication skills is a must. 8. Must have a driver’s license. 9. Must be able to quickly learn new instruments technique and self educate on new instruments. 10. Must have at least 1 year of any teaching experience. Hours are flexible. Position open immediately until filled.
