There will be no hugs, no family gatherings, no tacos passed down the table and no mariachis to fill our walls with music on opening night. Theres nothing ‘grand’ about this opening: just a humble opportunity to continue to share our food with the people and city. We’ve kept the opening date under wraps because we truly didn’t know how to roll this out. I mean, how do ...you open under these conditions? Yet as we continue to navigate our way through this crisis, we felt the best way to give back to our employees (and city) is to continue to open opportunities for them to support their families. Begin again. With the ones who got us here in the first place. Beginning today at Echo Park (only), Guisados will be opening its doors for delivery and takeout from 11am - 8pm. Our team will be small, 4 employees who began this journey with us back in 2010 stand beside us today as we continue to navigate our way through this difficult time. It is because of their decision that we’ve decided to open again today. And for the many who couldn’t be here, a portion of our daily sa...les will go towards a relief fund set aside for employees. And thanks to our friends @Postmates, we have added a special ‘Safer at Home’ Menu as well as fresh produce and beer to fill your fridge.
