Specific to farming, uninformed regulations may not adequately protect farm workers from COVID-19, may impact agriculture's ability to supply food to consumers and can place a misguided resource burden on farmers. https://bit.ly/3sTIaS3

The efforts of Congressman Farr, Congressman Panetta, and numerous agricultural organizations came to fruition recently at a groundbreaking at the USDA research center in Salinas. This new USDA Agricultural Research Technology Center will include new laboratories, greenhouses and capacity for additional scientists. GSA's Abby Taylor-Silva spoke at the event, noting that the culmination of the 20-year effort to bring this facility to Salinas was timely, and would bring necessary research forward related to viral, fungal and bacterial diseases affecting our lettuce, celery and spinach crops, as well as the development of soil fumigant alternatives for strawberry and vegetable crops, a focus on organic practice development, and more. https://bit.ly/3dbWQ7t
