Today is a Stove-palooza, a celebration of the noble cooktop. We have many fine Miniature Stoves making their debut in the Furniture and Etrennes Category later today. Every doll collection needs a kitchen-centered focal point. What could be better than a magnificent stove, a hearth to warm oneself and dolly through the Winter, seems just perfect for the season, and just in time for Thanksgiving. Dear Doll Friends, A few days ago we received a message from an Australian viewer, Jennifer, who upon visiting our Carmel Doll Shop Boutique website, was disappointed that various ensemble kits that we had offered in the past were no longer visible. Our theory concerning sold items, is that if they are no longer available for purchase, they should not be given shelf space. But our dedicated Australian seamstress had a different point of view - and one that we could understa...nd. She explained that she just liked to look at the pictures of the ensembles. Jennifer thought that with the help of the photos, she could utilize the designs to make something on her own. Who are we to argue? With that idea in mind, we have created a page on our Boutique site entitled INSPIRATION where you can see photos of ensemble kits that we have previously handled, and /or produced. We hope you find this resource useful: https://www.carmeldollshopboutique.com/inspiration On another note, we are currently building a super-duper update for the Carmel Doll Shop Boutique. We have dolls, ensemble kits, luscious new silks, accessories, and a new instructional sewing video with Angela D, all getting finishing touches, so please stay tuned. But in the meantime, we are pleased to announce that we have just replenished the Boutique with a limited number of "Cape du Soir" Kits from Denise Buese. The sumptuous black velvet Opera Capes are to accompany the lovely pink and black check silk Dress Kit entitled "Palais Garnier. Please do not hesitate, as quantities of both the cape and dress kits are very limited. https://www.carmeldollshopboutique.com//palais-garnier-cap https://www.carmeldollshopboutique.com//palais-garnier-a-k Thank you all so much for your continued support of the Boutique. Please remember that we are here for your needs, and we will always do our best to address themjust ask Jennifer in Australia. Stylish, three-piece Ensemble of rich purple wool-a classic, nineteenth-century shade. This piece is sumptuously trimmed in delicate ecru lace, cream and black tiny braid on five panels of the skirt with full train, as well as on the front, sleeves and waist of jacket and on the five scalloped panels of the cape. Some fading and moth damage, but overall a wonderful ensemble. This attractive set is suitable for an approximately 20 fashion or china. How vulnerable this gorgeous Kestner all-bisque appears...she should have all the confidence in the world, with her sweet face and fantastic costume. We're sure she'll find a good home, where her confidence can be restored! Details include a perfect bisque swivel head with brown glass set eyes and a lovely original blonde mohair wig. This doll is the very rare model that features bending knees, although her leg components have seen expert restoration. There is also a flake up...on her right arm, at the top near the shoulder. We think you will agree it is her magnificent ensemble which sets her apart from the rest! French blue silk and lace never looked better! Like many of the dolls shown here, this particular doll would be wonderful displayed in the arms of a larger German sister, or bebe-cousin and it would do wonders for her comfort level! Measures: 7 1/2" tall 9 1/2 to top of hat. https://www.carmeldollshop.com//f7pwuq2ic3kgd8fhdsns12dmpr

Featuring big personality as well as stature, this ethereal Bru Smiler, a portrait of Empress Eugénie, features one of the loveliest faces we have known. Who knows exactly what makes this example a standout? It might have to do with her pale coloring, fine lip and lash painting and the narrow eye cuts to us, the result is pure serenity.
