The Mad Ones opens TOMORROW! We asked @adelaidamaria._ about the online rehearsal and recording to process to which she said, "when the pandemic hit, the transition from live theatre to online theatre was rough for me. The filming process is so fast paced and technical, and seeing myself on camera brought out a whole new world of insecurities and self doubt. After doing two fully online shows, I wasn’t sure if I was mentally ready to place myself in that vulnerable position a...gain. However, I’m really glad that I pushed past that fear and auditioned for The Mad Ones. Yes, the process of creating it was stressful at times, but we had so much fun in our Zoom rehearsal room (deemed The Mad Room by Geno) and I was beyond grateful to have a little theatre family again. To anyone who is skeptical about doing online theatre I get it. It feels weird, wrong and sometimes super scary. But if the opportunity arises for you to work with an amazing team and sharpen your skills, take it. Keep acting and making connections because live theatre is on its way back and you want to be ready to hop into those audition rooms again!"Make sure to watch Adelaida as Sam in The Mad Ones! Tickets are on sale in our bio and the production will be viewable for 48 hours. Tag us in your pictures and stories if you are watching! #stagehousetheatre #grossmontcollegearts #TheMadOnesMusical @kerrigan_lowdermilk See more

Only ONE WEEK till opening for The Mad Ones! We checking in @_brit.adriana and her experience with online theatre, "Doing a few online shows taught me a lot about patience. Theatre is about acting and storytelling, and it’s our job to still tell that story even virtually. There’s a magic that is achieved when you can act with your scene partner even without being in the same room. Communicating tactics and scene objectives and discovering how they actually lined up with each... other made the process exciting and fun to see come together made me feel closer to the stage. With online shows, it taught me patience and trusting the process as we switched from stage to screen. My best advice received in this show was to just make strong choices and knowing that Geno and Kyrsten would guide those choices from there. Live in the moment with your character and have fun!" What do you do when your tour of Waitress (which employed both you and your wife) ends? You write a brilliant album for kids. That’s what you do. Read about artists making art in the middle of a pandemic with no where to turn but back to art.
