ATTENTION We are looking for Narineh Avakian. She left the house from Glendale on Sunday noon (March 7) for hiking and was supposed to be back by that nigh...t, but she has been missing since then. Based on what she said before leaving, she had a 3-hour drive and 3-hour hike ahead. Our information of her whereabouts is unfortunately limited! At this moment we are trying to locate her car (2019, White Subaru Impreza Sedan, license No.: 8JSH794). If you are a person or know anyone who hikes often, please spread the word and help us locate the car and her. Authorities have already been informed of the missing situation. Hello Everybody It has been a blast leading the Griffith Park Hiking Group for a year and a half. I have decided I'm ready to focus on other areas of my life. The past 8 months of Covid-19 have made group hiking not possible. Maybe down the road I'll pick up the torch again to continue Griffith Park hikes. As for right now I want to let everyone know it was a blast. I really enjoyed hiking, meeting new people, and staying active during the year and a half I led the hikes. There was confusion about a month ago when the prior hiking coordinator Arthur Hovesepian posted a hiking invitation on the website. It wasn't me that posted it. Ending racism is something I have always been for. I have been an activist all my life. I was targeted as a leftist activist by the US Government under the Obama Administration. A full description it is posted on my home page. I have repeatedly listened to people over the past several decades tell me that they had to say something. Now I have something to say. A list of black people that have died over the past decade are listed in the NPR article link below. Most recently th...is list has included Eric Garner, Breonna Taylor and George Floyd. My problem is not protesting ending racism and police brutality. I was protesting systemic racism and police brutality 25 years ago. My problem is when the left chooses to sensationalize the death of a black man by police brutality 6 months before an election. That is disgusting. This has been going on in the 3 1/2 years since Trump has been office. Obviously this was going on under the Obama Administration since the list includes black people killed over the last decade. Obama says make people of power (US Government) uncomfortable. I've been making the US Government uncomfortable my entire life. I'm here to make white people uncomfortable. Black people are not props to win an election. Former Secretary of State Colin Powell has come out in support of Biden. It was Powell's lies in front of the U.N. General Assembly that caused America go to war with Iraq. That war caused the death of over 4,431 soldiers and 33,994 wounded in action (WIA) and the death of approximately 60,000 to 100,000 Iraqi civilians. I often get asked if I am pro or anti Trump. I am not here to tell you who to vote for. The left doesn't care about race. Right now it is about power and control. The government has been what it is always about. Fucking American citizens over. Also I am into defunding the FBI. There are way too many FBI shows that definitely need to be cancelled. Talk about brutalizing people of color over the decades. Hello Everyone I have just set up a volunteer group for the Hollywood area to provide assistance to the elderly during the coronavirus pandemic. It has now been estimated that 100,000 to 200,000 people could die in the US as a result of this pandemic. I am connecting volunteers to elderly individuals in their neighborhoods who can't leave the house, are the most vulnerable, have no one else to turn to, etc. to run essential errands for those who cannot do so for themselves while adhering to the safety guidelines. As organizer of the GPHG I understand a lot of people are confused about what a stay-at-home order means. "All Californians must stay at home except to get food, prescriptions and health care, care for a friend or relative, walking the dog and taking outdoor exercise such as walking, running or hiking. When people do go out, they should practice social distancing." This means if you need to get some fresh air go for a walk or a hike but remember to stay 6 feet apart from oth...er people.
