Musical Instruments with recycled materials...

Our last STEAM experiment (where we learned about density bottle ) before we left California. A simple experiment where we discussed the density of different liquids as we used corn syrup, baby oil, and water ( with some blue color). We could see different layers are forming in front of us in the bottle, which we could take home afterward. Try it at home, its really easy and fun for elementary kiddos P.S. - THANKS A TON FOR 1K LIKES. Because of our move to a new place, we really missed updating here in our favorite spot, hopefully we can be little more regular from now onwards( though I’m still in the process of buying lot of STEAM Materials online and then returning it because most of them are not working as they used to in the USA )

’Active Parenting’ is a way to support a child’s development in every stage, in every way. It takes a proactive approach to parenting, so we as parents can connect with our children in every step of their growth. Here we tried to come up with few activities which can be useful for all parents, even if they have NEWBORNS or ELEMENTARY going kiddos in their house. Just check it for a few minutes and let me know if you think it's helpful to you and your little bundle of joy https://www.happydna.in/active-parenting/ P.S. - Some age-wise STEM activities are also there to beat the summer boredom

Friday is always exciting because of the #STEAM, as kids get to learn things out of the box in a fun way. This week we learned about ’capillary action ’ and tried it #handson by doing this ’Walking Rainbow’ experiment. We only used 4 materials - tissue papers, colors, cups and water and voila! our experiment was on a roll #scienceproject #science #stemgirls #steminist #steminschool #steminschools #stemforkids #stemforall #handsonactivities #handsonlearning #handsondesign #learningbydoing #stemforkinders #makers #makersgonnamake #makerspace #bayareaa #walkingwater #walkingrainbow #watercolor #water #capillaryaction #science

Many of our kids are absolutely fascinated about Astronomy and Space-Science. This STEM PROJECT is designed for all those Small Astronauts. In this small project, they will need some simple materials, that's already available in their house and using those they will make a WORKING-MODEL of Mars and its 2 moon- Phobos and Deimos. This planet project is easy to do and can be easily replicated with other planets and its moons for kid's Solar System School Project. Click here to view the whole video https://youtu.be/kDdKdX7aR_U

‘Can you balance a cardboard shape on the top of your pen?’ It was the question asked to my kids in this #friday #STEAM class while performing the ‘Balancing Shapes’ activity. We explained the concept of ‘Gravity’ and ‘Centre of Gravity’. Just insert two chopsticks through the cardboard and put some weight on specific areas to make the shapes balance. Kids discovered different weights and positions to find out the centre of gravity of the shapes. Try it out with your own kid to see them surprised while learning these new concepts.
