A very happy and good vibes birthday to Joe Locke, one of our favorite vibraphonists of our time. Born in Palo Alto, California 62 years ago, Joe grew up in Roc...hester, NY. When he arrived in New York he worked and recorded with the best from Kenny Barron, Eddie Henderson, and a working and recording collabortative group with Geoffrey Keezer. He has cited his love for Milt Jackson and Bobby Hutcherson, so performing with "Hutch" on a tribute to "Bags" was certainly a dream come true. Just look at his face as he listens to Bobby Hutcherson. Since this live performance of "Old Folks" in 2007, Joe has released several titles under his own time and continues to grow and spread the joy of his perfoming and composing around the world. STILL, STILL, STILL is a sweet Christmas carol I grew up with. Comes from Austria, Salzburg area. Appeared in a folk song collection in 1865.

Celebrating a year since my most-viewed (over 7 million!) YT video went viral, I decided to give my own crack at it! Last time I conducted it, this time I wanted to play! Enjoy!
Andrew just finished a recording session in France this first week in September. You can buy his albums on Warner Classics.
Bach, in the French style. Remembering the great(est) musical genius who died 270 years ago yesterday. Bach’s keyboard masterpiece from 1735 Ouvertüre nach... Französischer Art amazes not only for its musical intricacies but for the way in which the German composer was able to imitate the French baroque dances style made famous by Lully and Couperin. He understands it so well you might even think he had worked in the court of Louis XIV! See more

Sorry for posting this so late. They did a concert at Ascension in 2018 and played this amazing organ duet.

After binging a bunch of Studio Ghibli films, I was so inspired by Joe Hisaishi's score to "Howl's Moving Castle" that I decided to do a six trumpet version. Here is the "Merry Go Round of Life".
Ascension's Chancel Choir's first virtual choir video! This benediction was created for our June 14th Sunday service at 9:30 am.
This Dynamic Duo celebrates their 22nd anniversary! That is music to our ears! Check out the videos from our last concert, for a reminder of Great Music at Ascension's many years of UCLA BRASS and Jens. Jennifer Snow accompanied Jens at this concert.
