People skip meals for all sorts of reasons. Some adults skip meals to lose weight. Others fast as part of an internal detox. Still others do it because they say they’re too busy to stop and eat.... But Jesus encourages us to fast for a much higher purpose: to realign our hearts with our Father in heaven. Food is good, but during times of biblical fasting, we give up what is good for the sake of taking hold of something that is much better. Food is good, but a deeper relationship with God is infinitely better. So, if you want to draw closer to God, receive His wisdom and strength, and experience a spiritual breakthrough, try fasting and prayer. And after having had so many close calls with death, why are you still alive? The Apostle Paul enlightens us in Acts 17:26: From one man God made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. And in Esther 4:14, Queen Esther discov...ered that God places us where He places us for such a time as this. So, be encouraged! God has you here in the Victor Valley for a reason. And He brought you through the hardships of 2020 for a reason. I believe that part of that reason is so that you and I can continue making a greater impact in the Victor Valleytogether.
