For Cities over 50K, Merced was the fastest growing city in California this past year. Sounds like a "City on the Rise," right, Mike Murphy.

Merced Fruit Barn has been doing business in Merced for 17 years, selling a variety of produce, dried fruit, nuts, sandwiches, ice cream, coffee, and gift items. Located on Hwy 140 heading toward Yosemite, it has been a prime stopping point for travelers and locals alike. When asked what keeps them doing business in Merced, owner Heidi Raggio pointed to their ties to the community: "Our business is family owned and we live in Merced." Merced Fruit Barn helps build the base of businesses that make Merced the Gateway to Yosemite.

We posted earlier this month about the Well-Being Institute, a new program, that Merced College is launching Fall 2020. The Well-Being Institute focuses on employee well-being and is offering a Lunch & Learn Zoom presentation on September 9th at noon for the Merced community to learn more about the program.
