Divorce is a major loss, in many ways... The five stages of divorce follow the common five stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. When a couple is going through a divorce, both people involved experience these stages at different times, in different ways.... It can also impede your divorce proceedings if you let your emotions get in the way of your decisions. If you need any help deciding on how to start and what you need to be aware of as you go into negotiations, send me a DM and ask... maybe it's a simple answer and if not then we can set up a consultation. Either way, I'm here for you and you don't have to go it alone...

According to Justia.com: If a couple is able to come to an agreement about all the major issues before trial, that is called an uncontested divorce. Conversely, if there are one or more significant matters that the couple cannot agree on themselves, it is a contested divorce. To make things simple... if you agree on all things, then there's not contestation. ... Believe it or not, this happens more often than you think. One way to help is to plan ahead. I know, it can sounds strange to 'plan' to divorce, but as with all financial planning, if you find that separation or divorce is inevitable for your marriage, then you should consider planning your moves to make the entire process smoother. What should you consider? What can you plan ahead for? What moves can you make now for an easier process? All these and more are questions that can be answered by an expert (me!). Use the link in my profile to set up a consultation. Let's do this together. P.S. Are you a safety officer, health care worker, or first responder? I will waive your consultation fee.

Do I have to pay to have someone "serve" the papers to my soon-to-be-ex? The short answer is no you don't have to pay. But you do have to have them served by someone who is not yourself.... Depending on your situation you may want to hire a professional team to take care of it for you if you have a hostile situation. Your attorney can advise other options that you have open to you based on what will work for you. Not sure what I mean? DM me to ask about it or use the link in my profile to set up your consultation.
