Designed to create meaningful conversations through the lost art of letter writing, these high school seniors created The Buddy Dispatch Project after feeling as though online communication had become unfulfilling amid COVID-19. Nothing quite like an old-fashioned, handwritten letter. https://www.ghchs.com/apps/news/article/1310295 #friendship #letterwriting #online #communication #meaningful #conversation

When we are on campus, students are encouraged to perform one patriotic act including an act of service or kindness with their words and actions. Although we are not on campus, today, more than ever, we remain committed to educating our young people to be responsible and engaged citizens, as well as active and informed community members. On September 11, 2001, terrorists wishing to destroy the United States of America attacked the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and United... Airlines Flight 93. Two thousand, nine hundred and seventy-seven (2,977) people lost their lives. To commemorate Patriot Day, we remember and honor those who innocently lost their lives, those who bravely sacrificed their lives in efforts to save the lives of others, and the many men and women who continue to serve and protect the freedoms of this great country. Through the adversity of this present time, our students continue to take the necessary actions rooted in service and kindness to create a more harmonious future out of the current uncertainty and dissonance in today’s world. https://youtu.be/wMY0Of35nE4 #patriotday #neverforget #lifteveryvoice #ghctk12 #highlanders
