We created this informational document to help assist the citizens of Plumas County understand what the difference is between an Evacuation Advisory and an Evac...uation Order. We understand there were questions from many residents of the county and concerned family and friends from outside the county and hope this information will help educate everyone. These two tiers are what we use in Plumas County; however, you may see other models used in other geographic locations. See more

We have had many calls of concern citizens in respect to the #Claremontfire (part of the #NorthComplex) and the recent advisory to evacuate Cromberg and Sloat areas. Graeagle Fire is in contact with the type 1 command of the incident and we are watching the incident very cautiously. At this time we are asking everyone to not panic. We will keep you up to date as the situation grows. If evacuations were to happen you would receive phone calls from the Sheriffs Office. Introducing 9271, the newest addition to the GFPD fleet. This 2020 BME Fire Trucks Wildland engine will replace 9277, a 1985 GMC that served numerous districts before serving ours. The new 9271 will be first out for Wildland/Vegetation fires while also providing support for structure fires, vehicle accidents, vehicle fires, and other response activities within the GFPD.
