Fernet Francisco, Manzanilla. was first introduced to the market in 2015 by San Francisco-based fernet enthusiasts, Max Rudsten and Ben Flajnik. It is made with a variety of herbs and botanicals sourced from local Bay Area markets including rhubarb, gentian root, cardamom, bay leaves, orange peels, and peppermint among others. The featured ingredient is German chamomile which is also called manzanilla. Fernet Francisco, Ruibarbo. Gorgeous licorice-black in the glass, this Fernet shows fresh fruity rhubarb, orange zest, anise, bay leaves, peppermint, and hints of eucalyptus. Great in cocktails or straight up. New in the Haus! @willettdistillery Willett, 4yr Rye Whiskey. The barrels that went into this small batch combined to make an amazing drinker. Nose- Beautiful layering of brandied cherry over a mildly tart cherry. It opens up with time and is reminiscent of cutting into your dessert with your fork which releases cinnamon and baking spices with just a hint of oak to remind you that this is high proof youthful. Palette- A robust rye with dark cherry, burnt vanilla, and spices f...or days. It's a delicious rye with a weighty mouthfeel. Balance - It's insanely well balanced with the alcohol so perfectly integrated at 115 proof you'll forget its there, but you'll find yourself smiling more and happier with each dram. Finish- the finish is long and the spices dominate this batch, while the cherry does punch its way through to the surface. Willett, Pot Still Reserve Bouron. Nose is "vanilla lemon cake." The palate is a balance of caramel, vanilla, spices and citrus. I'm not sure if they made the opulent bottle to match the Whiskey or vice versa. We’re not exactly sure what offices are like at the center of the earth, but we really hope they are as divine as this here beer.... Henhouse, Insider Job. As we all know, reality is obvious. New in the Haus! @cellarmakerbrewing Cellarmaker, Dank Williams. West Coast DIPA with Simcoe, Mosaic, Nelson, Motueka, Centennial, Chinook and CTZ.... Cellarmaker, Strawberry Oblivion. For a day and a half, we hand chopped and puréed 800 lbs of organic Albion strawberries from Watsonville California and then added them to a blend of 3 different oak-aged beers of varying levels of acidity and funkiness. No need to search for the Strawberry in this as an incredibly juicy aroma fills the air right after popping the bottle. Side note: these are the same strawberries that we used for a second refermentation for Strawberry Shorty, our tart strawberry wheat ale. Cellarmaker, Farmers Direct Blenheim Apricots. Blended stainless fermented & oak aged mixed culture beers on top of super ripe Blenheim apricots from Frog Hollow Farm in Brentwood, CA. We further aged the beer in neutral red wine barrels until the fruit refermentation was complete & the flavors were smooth & complex. An amazing expression of the fruit’s aromatics & intense flavor.
