Reposting @theericaamerica: ... "Believe in yourself. I know the healing process is painful for so many of us. Please don’t give up on yourself! Even when it feels like the pain is SO STRONG + won’t end. If we can... 1. Take the space to finally FEEL the emotions we’ve been running from 2. Listen + accept what they’re trying to tell us 3. Offer comfort, compassion and validation to this hurt part of ourselves The pain will transmute and finally pass through us so we can feel FREE Deep down, you have everything you need inside. Pay attention and take care of that inner child in you that is calling out for you to notice her/him! Listen, connect and assure them you HEAR them and are HERE for them. They NEED this to feel safe + heard. Once they do, you can consciously live your life in the present moment and CHOOSE your responses to life (tather than than simply reacting from suppressed pain). We deserve to FEEL JOY during this precious life we are given. We can feel the hard things, we can do the things we think we can’t. We are so much stronger than we think. I’m right here with you on this journey. I want nothing more than for all of us to experience self-acceptance, compassion, and presence so we can live our lives with purpose and less suffering.Remember- this is a lifelong, non-linear process. Rest when you need to and keep walking. You are not alone *Thank you @cthagod for this picture above. I was feeling inspired today after deep reflection and meditation. When I saw @cthagod’s post I felt I should share it. Love you C " See more

Reposting @mentalillnessquotesinfo: #wegotthis ... "Dr. Christina (@dr.christina_): "It’s hard for me to wrap my head around why we as a society continue to blame, judge or shame people who experience trauma. No one chooses to be traumatized.... A trauma response occurs after we undergo events that overwhelm our system and hinders our ability to cope. Yet people continue to treat others as if they are choosing to struggle, with comments like It’s not that big of a deal or Stop focusing on the past. We need to stop shaming people who are trying to survive something that has greatly impacted them. We need to stop judging people who are trying to manage intrusive thoughts, feelings and memories. We need to stop blaming people who are struggling to find remnants of who they were before the trauma. I can’t stress this enough. People don’t CHOOSE to be traumatized, so let’s stop treating them as if they do. Reposting @semi_rad: ... "I made this last year but I think it’s appropriate every year if you’re looking to change something starting in January as we often do; also I have been thinking that just keep surviving is a totally appropriate goal for 2021"

Reposting @semi_rad:#wegotthis ... "A couple weeks ago, I wrote an Instagram post asking people to share some of the things they did to get through the strange and difficult year that has been 2020. I got about 400 responses, so I spent the better part of a weekend copying and pasting them into a Word document to figure out how I could put them together in a way that would sort of commemorate what made 2020 so different, weird, and difficult for almost everyone. And then di...d a bunch of math to figure out how big I could make a drawing to post online and on Instagram. In the end, I put together this very long horizontal drawing of as many varied answers as I could fit. I was only able to use a fraction of the submissions, and even those I had to cut down to a sentence or two in most cases. But I hope if you scroll through this whole thing, you find something that speaks to your experience this year, even if just a little bit, or illuminates someone else's very different experience for you. Thanks to everyone who repliedit was an incredible experience for me to hear about how you've all figured out how to navigate the past 12 months." See more
