I played the Spanish Field Hockey Team multiple times over my career. One time a girl hit me with her stick, a full baseball bat swing to the back of my hamstring. We got it on film and she was suspended for 6 months from international play. In 15 years of playing and 1000's of games that was the only time someone hit me intentionally. I got this text from my an employee Saturday. (See photo one comments) I am saddened, sickened and a little frightened to be honest. Some say brands shouldn’t get involved in politics. It’s a risky thing right? Is it our place as an organic food and drink company? Does anyone care what we think?... We are a divided nation, no doubt! I could tell you who I am voting for and lose half our customers. But what’s happening now is more about our humanity than money. We have become so inflamed we are no longer able to talk each other. To have a civil discussion about the views of the candidates, maybe learn something from one another. Let’s all do our homework. Don’t put up a yard sign just because you stand with a certain party without fully understanding the issues. Don’t share something on social media without knowing what you are sharing. We all have a responsibility to do our own research and fact check. Fear in politics is a strategy. If your politician is using this tactic it’s time for you to dig deeper on where they really stand on THE ISSUES.
