Good Moodra Yoga Teacher Spotlight Welcome, Brittany, our newest addition to the team Brittany has been taking yoga since 2014, and became 200-hr certified in 2018. What first started as a journey to find an hour each day to focus on herself, has now turned into a passion. Through her practice she has been able to change her outlook on life, which has opened many doors of opportunities and perspectives. Her classes focus on streng...th of the body and mind, combining challenging yet accessible postures. The classes are also meant to be fun, with playlists that will have you further engaged to develop the best version of yourself. Brittany teaches in the morning on Tuesday and evening on Wednesday. Come celebrate the Full Moon for a Sound Bath & Reiki session Hosted by Kyle Lam and Marizol Ortiz, our sound bath experience will be held on the evening of the Full Moon so we may harness the lunar energy that will be radiating down upon us. During the Full Moon, both sun and moon are at opposite sides of the our Earth, exerting their influences upon the Earth, creating a polarity of Yin and Yang energy. At a time where the greatest ...potential for tension is present, we are given a chance to use that potential towards a manner of inner healing. The moon enlightens us on the disparity that we may have within us, allowing us to reflect on this inner polarity. Just as the moon governs the tides and waves of our waters, so does it have an affect upon our own bodily fluids. Fluctuations in own internal energy systems causes shifts that lead to greater awareness, emotional releases, and deeper connections to our own divinity. The lunar mother grants us a sense of purification, casting out a reminder of that beautiful light that resides within us at all times. About the Facilitator, Kyle Lam: Kyle Lam is a sound practitioner, whose roots stem from his musical background in performing chamber and classical compositions. Kyle discovered the world of sound healing in 2015 through his practice of kundalini yoga, connecting deeply with the sound of the gong and the impact it has on the physical body and the subconscious mind. Now, Kyle facilitates a variety of sound healing related events for local communities, guiding participants in a musical meditative journey to experience the medicinal benefits of sound therapy. Good Moodra Yoga Teacher Spotlight Welcome, Jessica, our newest addition to the team ... Jessica began practicing yoga at 5 years old with her grandmother in Mt. Shasta, California. Since then, her love of the practice & study of movement science has taken her through her biopsychology degree at UC Davis, her graduate degree in Physical Therapy at Mount St. Mary’s College in Brentwood, and an advanced certification as a Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS). She holds certifications as a Pilates instructor, NSCA Strength and Conditioning Specialist, aquatics instructor and indoor cycling instructor. She is a former Physical Therapist & Trainer for Cirque Du Soleil & currently works at the St. Jude Centers for Rehabilitation & Wellness in Brea, CA. She received her first formal yoga training through a Yoga Works workshop in 2006 & completed her 200 hour certification at Purple Yoga.
