We made fun Covid sock mask today at Goodman’s

Today was an awesome day. I decided I needed to do something to bring Joy to my daycare children and families. As with all the gloom and doom of these stressful days of staying home already for 3 weeks with all my daycare children staying home in isolation. Today was one of my beautiful student’s Lucy’s 6th birthday. So at the last minute I was able to get 23 of us to create a drive by Birthday Party parade staying in our cars in a safe distance. What fun and joy it was for a...ll of us. So much laughter, Joy and love. We had our cars decorated with birthday signs and balloons as we honked and Yelled Hello to each other. Lucy’s mom said that Lucy said It was the Best day ever!!! her mom followed by saying I think this will be a birthday that Lucy and our family will ALWAYS remember! It was really special day for them because the mom is an Elementary teacher trying to do online teaching for her students out of school during this corona time , while caring for her 3 and 6 year old as her husband is still recovering from a very painful back surgery. It was extra special as well for the parents that showed up, because most of them were front line doctors. They expressed how this day gave such happiness to them and their children to get out of the house for just a while to celebrate something so beautiful and Happy! See more

I will try to post something each day that we do to past the time. Yesterday was our famous neighbor Pumpkin lady who wrote the book Maezies Pumpkin Patch 101 st birthday! She also gave us a 200 lb pumpkin that still sits by my front door . So I had one student which we decided to make her feel special while being shut in. We made a sign and baked her favorite lemon muffins and placed them by her front door. ( including a lemon and onion ). We ended up placing muffins an onion and lemon by all our senior shut in neighbors. I hope it made them smile. Even for a moment . Let’s all help our seniors some how. As well as anyone that needs help.
