The middle 20% of Florida taxpayers pay about 8.1% effective taxes towards the state while the 1% pay an effective rate of around 2.3%. In Texas those numbers are 3.1% and 9.7%. He also anticipates home-buying trends to continue moving toward their current shift from open floor plans and smaller homes to larger homes with more segmented spaces.
