Violence and hatred against the Asian American community has existed well before the pandemic as shown in the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882, to the 1,900% increase in hate crimes towards Asians in New York City in 2020, and over 3,795 reports of anti-Asian hate incidents according to@stopaapihate - 5...03 of which took place in the first two months of 2021. We know that speaking up and taking space takes a massive amount of courage and at great cost, and we call on our community to join us and be prepared to protect, defend, and support each other. Many of our employees got their first dose of their covid vaccine today! This was such an exciting moment after spending the past year worrying about going into work and being exposed to the virus. Happy thanksgiving from our family to yours! This thanksgiving will be unlike any other but if we’ve learned anything from this year, it’s to be thankful for what we have. We are incredibly thankful for our essential worker staff who we had just hired and then had to heartbreakingly furlough at the beginning of the pandemic due to the shelter in place order, and then 2 months later were given 2 days notice to grand open in the middle of this pandemic. Staff who are dedicat...ed to coming in early each morning and leaving late at night to ensure passengers don’t go hungry and have a tasty hot meal to eat before their long flights. We are also so thankful for our customers, some who are loyal Goldilocks customers who have grown up with our food and some who are new customers who gave us a shot and tried something totally new. Your support of our small business means the world to us and has helped provide jobs and put food on the table for many families during this challenging year.
