SINCE ITS COLD AND FLU SEASON, HERE ARE SOME NATURAL CLEANING TIPS TO KEEP YOUR HOME CLEAN AND GERM FREE! Natural homemade house cleaners: GLASS CLEANER: ... 2 cups water, 1/2 cup white vinegar, 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol 70% concentration, a few drops of essential oil if desired. COUNTER CLEANER (non-natural stone counter): Empty spray bottle, 1 cup white vinegar, 1 tablespoon baking soda, 20 drops of tea tree oil and 10 drops grapefruit essential oil. COUNTER CLEANER (natural stone counters such as granite): 1/4 cup castile soap, 2 cups water, 15 drops of tea tree essential oil and 10 drops of grapefruit essential oil. The following products are some great natural alternatives: 1. Lemon Juice 2. White Vinegar 3. BakingSoda 4. Castile Soap 5. Hydrogen Peroxide 6. Essential Oils like tea tree, lemon, orange, grapefruit, cinnamon and clove. Cleaning your house naturally helps improve indoor quality and is much safer for children and pets!

ARE YOU READY TO KICKSTART THE NEW YEAR WITH A 7 DAY CHALLENGE? Let’s do this together!... When we live in a constant state of stress it changes our biochemistry, which affects our physical and emotional health. Stress triggers a fight or flight response in your body. This response releases hormones, such as adrenaline and cortisol. Adrenaline prepares your body to take action and minimize your desire to eat. Once the adrenaline effects were off, cortisol, also known as the stress hormone, hangs around. Cortisol temporarily suppresses functions that are non-essential, such as your digestive, immune, and reproductive responses. When you have more cortisol in your system, you may crave for less healthy food options like snacks containing high sugar and fat content. What happens when cortisol is high? Weight gain, fatigue, irritability, anxiety, insomnia , impaired brain function, blood sugar imbalance Here are a view tips to interrupt these negative patterns and get you back on track! 1. Get the right amount of sleep (try to get eight hours of sleep) 2. Moderate exercise (a 20 minute walk or gentle yoga) 3. Learn to relax (Meditate for 5 to 10 minutes or play some relaxing music) 4. Have fun (laugh, do something you love) 5. Be kind to yourself (positive self talk, listen to your body) 6. Be mindful about what you eat (make healthier food choices that support your body) 7. Drink water (stay hydrated, drink 50% of your bodyweight in oz) Foods to avoid: Caffeine, sugar, white flour, processed foods, alcohol, fried foods, artificial sweeteners, fast food. Foods to eat: Lean meats, fish, eggs, nuts, leafy greens, colorful vegetables, fruits and healthy fats. Magnesium rich foods, such as Dark chocolate, avocados, nuts, legumes, seeds, salmon, bananas. With the holidays quickly approaching, I have had many clients ask me, "How do I stay healthy and keep my energy up?" Here are 3 simple steps to keep you healthy and feeling radiant: ... 1. SLEEP! Sleep not only boosts immunity and restores body function, it can help slim you! Most of us need around 8 hours of good-quality sleep at night to function properly but some need more and some less. What matters is that you find out how much sleep you need and then try to achieve it. GET MORE SLEEP BY FOLLOWING THESE SIMPLE STEPS: 1. Turn off all electronics at least 1 hour prior to your bedtime. The blue light given off by most electronics simulate the brain instead of relaxing it. 2. Relax your body with a hot bath (heat will get your blood flow moving, but also help relax sore or tight muscles. You can add epsom salts for a deeper relaxation). 3. Meditate for 20 minutes, read a book or listen to some relaxing music. 2. EAT RIGHT! FEEL BETTER ALMOST IMMEDIATELY BY FOLLOWING THESE SIMPLE STEPS: 1. Avoid sugar, white flour and alcohol. 2. Eat more green vegetables and salads. Drink bone broth. 3. Water!!! Drink half your body weight in ounces daily. 3. EXERCISE! Physical activity will help you have more energy throughout the day, sleep better at night and feel happier. Find something simple that you will enjoy! 1. Get some fresh air -- go for a sunset stroll 2. Stretch -- touch your toes 3.
