Everyone has some sort of regrets, as there is always something we could have or should have done. This past year has created a lot of... I wants and I should haves. Especially in the sense of our fitness, health, & well being. I hear it all the time from people ... Things like ...I need to start working out and being healthier, I want to lose weight, I need to get stronger, I need to stop drinking, I need to get in shape for my wedding, or the summer, etc. They continue to... talk about it and never take action. Or they talk about how the should have worked out yesterday but got too busy or they will do it tomorrow. But tomorrow because the next day and the next day becomes next week, and then its "I will start working start working out or getting fit next month when things settle down". And we all know how that turns out... the next thing we know we have an added 10-15lbs and we don't even recognize the person we see in the mirror, we are uncomfortable within our own bodies. Unfortunately, its a lot easier to put the weight on and get out of shape than it is to take it off. And with everything starting to open up schedules are going to get crazy. So...lets start prioritizing YOU! STOP talking as the first step in the process of getting fit. Once you’ve stopped talking, you can actually come to a decision. Then, once you’ve decided what you want, you can finally get to the doing part and take action. Write your goals down and take actionable steps to achieve those goals. Take small steps if needed by getting outside and going for a walk 30min a day or get up earlier to get it out of the way . Talk is cheap, and the time for action is now. You will never achieve your desired goals by sitting on the couch and talking about wanting to do something. If you need help getting a jump start on your health & wellness try our Jump Start 21 Day Trial program. DM me for more details or click the link in my bio to get started. #startdoing #noexcuses

At some point we all fail, but don't let that failed attempt get in the way of your goals. Babe Ruth struck out 1330 times throughout his 22yrs in Major League Baseball. The fear/possibility of striking out didn't stop him from being one of the greatest baseball players of all time. Just as your failed attempts at a goal shouldn't stop you from being the best version of yourself. Throughout your fitness journey you will have ups and downs, failures and successes. Embrace t...hose failures as a learning tool. They teach us what works for us and what doesn't. One week you might lose 2-3lbs and the next you might gain a pound or two. They are not road blocks but rather bits of education and guidance that direct us toward the correct path in our efforts in achieving our goals. Evaluate your successes as much as you pounder on your failures. Keep a journal and track your nutrition, your workouts, your sleeping patterns, your stress levels throughout the day, how much water you drink, etc. Record how you felt after each day or each workout out. Did you feel strong, tired, weak, hungry, not hungry, etc. Score each day on a scale of 1-10 or 1-5 which ever works best, with 1 being a BAD day and 10 or 5 being a GREAT day! With a journal you will have a better understanding as to why you may or may not have reached your weekly goals. It will help prevent plateaus and provide you with the ability to change something up if needed so that you are constantly challenged. If you need help evaluating your results or a plan to help you achieve your goals, IM me, and I would be happy to set up a FREE Success Session reviewing your current program or get you started on a new one that is guaranteed to get you to your goals. #breakyourlimits #fitnesstipsters #fitnessjourneys #fitnessprogress #healthmotivation #justkeepgoing #wellnessmotivation #healthytips #wellnesstips #progressnotperfect #teamgsfp #noexcuses

Ah yes, a new year 2021. Or is it just a rewind of 2020? You get to decide. It seems that a lot of people have hit the wall with quarantine, restrictions and things being different than they were before. I get it. The circumstances haven’t been ideal. Working out is different now. Does that mean it’s worse?... That’s for you to decide. Nobody else but you. We can either complain about the circumstances or make the best of the circumstances we have. One of my favorite quotes is from George Bernard Shaw: People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don't believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can't find them, they make them. My advice would be to avoid the following: I don’t get as good of a workout with virtual training. I’m not motivated to work out at home. I can’t work out with a mask. Whatever your particular circumstance, none of these statements is a fact. They’re all decisions. Only YOU get to decide what you’re capable of in 2021. Only YOU get to decide what goals you’re going to set. Only YOU get to decide what actions you’re going to take every day, every week, every month to achieve them. Don’t focus on anybody else or what THEY think. Their goals are not yours. Their limitations are not yours. Only YOU get to decide what you want for your body, health and happiness and only YOU get to decide what you’re going to do each day to move closer to those goals. Do you... Believe in YOU. See more

What if I told you that your competition is not another competitor. But it's the person that stands within you or the one that looks back at you in the mirror. Your true competition is yourself. It's those internal demons, doubts, or thoughts that tell you that you are not good enough, that you are too tired to move forward, or that are weak and not strong enough achieve your goals. Push those negative thoughts away and let nothing or anyone come between you and your go...als. Your #success is right around the corner, and all you have to do is beat the person that is looking back at you in the mirror everyday to get there. Each day you should strive to be just a little better than you were yesterday. If you continuously compete with others... You become BITTER... If you continuously compete with yourself... You become BETTER When you compete with a person, you only have to be as good or better than the person to win. If you compete with yourself, there is no limitation to how good you can be - Ching Ning Chu There are 25 days left in 2020. How great will you become depends on you! How are you going to surpass all your expectations? #MakeYourselfStrongerThanYourExcuses #teamgsfp #decemberfitnesschallenge #finishstrong

Having the desire to change is all good, but the "desire to change must be greater than your desire to stay the same". Some people who find themselves in the predicament of wanting to change their life for the better, are also torn by their comfort zones, they desire change, but at the same time they desire to stay the same. The desire to change is only accomplished if you are willing get out of your comfort zone. Change is not easy but if you are willing to take it one ste...p at a time by adding in small healthy habits you can accomplish ANYTHING! Try this to help you move in the direction of change and break free from the desire to stay the same. Lets say your goal is set for 6 months...Imagine your changes after 6 months, what does that look like, how does it feel, what positive differences has it made on your life, how has it impacted your health, self image, body composition, etc. Soak that in and really pull in those feelings. Next, I want you to imagine after 6 months you are the same. What does it feel like to have stayed exactly as you are for six months, how does it feel to not have moved forward with your life or goals? What do you see when you look in the mirror, what can you hear, what do you feel? Now, spend a minute soaking up those feeling of remaining exactly as you were 6 months ago. Which scenario felt better to you? If it was the first, then your desire for change is definitely greater than your desire to remain the same. If the second scenario felt better for you, then your desire to remain the same is greater than your desire to change and maybe you need to rethink or remap your goals. If you're desire to change is stronger than your desire to remain the same then we are here to help you Make Yourself Stronger Than Your Excuses. DM me and I would be happy to jump on a no commitment call, zoom, or even text to help you achieve your fitness goals. #desiretochange #teamgsfp #noexcuses #mindsetstrength

What are your goals for the last 54 days of 2020? Achieving your goals may mean that you have to overcome certain obstacles and push through the discomfort. And we know that 2020 has presented enough obstacles and discomfort for everyone. If you are like most, these obstacles have created a wall/barrier around your fitness goals making it hard to map through all the chaos? Below are 4 Effective Ways to Start Reaching Goals Today: ... 1. Set the Right Goal We have talked about "SMART" goals. (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-driven) but this concept may lack the emotional connection necessary for accomplishing big life goals. Another approach according to Mark Murphy, CEO of Leadership IQ, (a leadership training company) might be to develop "HARD" Goals! Heartfelt: Having an emotional attachment to your goal. Animated: Motivated by a vision, picture, or movie in your mind. Required: Goals need to feel so urgent and necessary that you have no other choice but to start acting on them immediately. Difficult: Drag you out of your comfort zone, activating your senses and attention. 2. Map out Your Plan There is a saying, "A goal without a Plan is just a WISH" . Create a map or outline that shows how will will achieve your goals. Plan one or two actions that you can take each week, and focus doing the small things each day. That could be something as simple as making sure that you are drinking enough water, taking in a source of protein with every meal, or doing something active for at least 30min everyday. 3. Visualize and Reflect Visualize and Reflect on how you would feel and or look once you achieved your goals. This will form a lasting picture in your mind that will sustain your motivation over the long run. 4. Set an End Date! It makes it real, improves focus, and urgency. Hang a picture our quote in your cabinet that will will see daily to keep you focused. If you need Help...DM me directly
