Please Read Things are going to be a little different at the shop today. We were originally going to close in solidarity for those that have lost their lives to racism. Instead we’ve decided to use our privilege to help raise money for so many in need, those with their feet on the ground, and fighting for their vision of a better world. We’ll be donating 100% of our profits today to a few of the organizations on the the @cyclista_zine list. We’ve also shared this list h...ere, so if you aren’t in LA or would like to donate on your own, you have an easy, comprehensive list to do so from. If y’all feel inclined, do share this with the world. Right now is one of the only times, in many of our lifetimes that bike shops are doing ok and not stressing about keeping the doors open. So we believe it’s our turn to give back, and we don’t mean by serving our community, but providing funds to the rest of the communities in need. There’s always another side to the story as well, many bike shops in less privileged neighborhoods are getting hit hard from the pandemic, so search out a small mom and pop, and go buy something from them, anything can help. It could be your dollar that saves the day. We are also asking that the cycling community, not turn on each other in these times. Just because someone hasn’t posted that they donated money, doesn’t mean that they haven’t. Not everyone feels the need to share everything with the world. Also, now more than ever, these conversations about race and privilege are extremely important, but don’t think that Instagram is the end all be all. We need to be having these conversations with each other, when you can see each others eyes , just because someone is silent on here, doesn’t mean that they’re being silent. But one thing we will say is, that it’s probably not the best time to tell us how awesome your day was, because shit ain’t easy right now. It’s time to support others, and make a better world for black and brown people. See more

Now that the sun is setting a little bit earlier we’ll be having winter hours! So for the first time in GSC history we will be closing at 7:00pm every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday.
