For the past 13 years, the Golden Hour team has been monitoring this state and federally endangered clarkia in partnership with East Bay Regional Parks District. Presidio clarkia is a strict serpentine endemic, and we have the largest population right here in the East Bay! This project has been a success! Through this project we’ve had a better understanding of annual grass dynamics at the Prairie, increased Clarkia habitat, and increased acres of prairie. Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District Western Horticultural Society November 11, 2020 7:15pm via Zoom Restoration of a Summit: Mt. Umunhum... With Lech Naumovich Mt. Umunhum breathes incredible stories about American and First Nation People history. This talk will bring those elements into a conversation about restoration and site rehabilitation. Because this is one of the first summit restoration projects in the Bay Area, the planning around this site stretched for years to ensure it was done with the greatest inclusion and appropriateness.
