At Golden Gate Transit we strive to make Earth Day Every Day. We are proud of the progress we've made to move our service to a more sustainable future. In 2019, Golden Gate Transit added 67 hybrid buses into our fleet which are 25% more fuel efficient with lower emissions to help reduce our carbon footprint. On average, Golden Gate Transit takes 13,000 cars per day off the streets of San Francisco. Bay Area air quality has vastly improved during the pandemic with fewer cars ...on the road - we can keep that trend going if more people choose to ride public transit when they return to their offices. We keep our buses clean and sanitized for your arrival. Our bus wash uses recycled water to help conserve our planet's precious resources. We use renewable fuels that help improve local air quality and reduce our emissions. #earthday #restoreourearth #takepublictransit

The Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District is seeking feedback from the community on a new transit center in downtown San Rafael. Our goal for a new facility is one that is safer and more accessible and that provides better transit connections for Marin County residents and riders.
