BREAKING NEWS: It’s official! The Governor’s office personally called me and shared that Nail salons may re-open starting next Friday June 19, 2020. The new COV...ID-19 guidelines will be released today June 12, 2020 via the state’s link. On behalf of the Nailing It For America group that has delivered more than 1.2 million PPEs and 52,000 restaurant meals to healthcare workers and others fighting COVID-19: We appreciate significantly contributing to the State of California’s new safety guidelines for nail salons that will prepare for the much-needed reopening of the nail-care industry that is owned and operated by 80 percent of Vietnamese Americans. The next vital step is to repair the damage from Gov. Newsom’s premature comments on May 7. This would help our community of more than 900,000 Vietnamese Americans in California begin to heal. It is our hope that the governor’s office will correct the public record once and for all: The first community transmission of the coronavirus in California did NOT start in a nail salon.

Hi all! We are starting to take the precautions for when we can reopen. We are currently drafting protocol for when we can see clients again (which we hope will be soon!) As you can see, we have set up screens that will be disinfected before and after serving clients on the manicure table and for the spa chairs as well. We will take all the necessary precautions to ensure safety of our clients and our staff.
