Excuse me....why are you so cute?! While checking out a lame heifer, I met this guy. Luckily mom was keeping an eye on him, otherwise he would have ended up in my truck!

It’s the season! The best season of the year! Babies left and right! This old momma went down and had a hard time delivering her precious load. Luckily I was able to help to deliver three big strong boys!!!!

The team was busy this rainy Friday fixing torn ears, castrating piglets, and helping a cow with a breeched calf. Looks like they’ve been working for the weekend hope everyone else is having an amazing Friday as well! Sunday Funday! Or better Sunday - I am cutting your belly open to get out a large calf! This heifers pelvis was very narrow and I was unable to pull the baby through the vaginal canal. Hence I had to do a c section- fighting off the wind and dust and the intestine that wanted to come out as well. Eventually everything was put back in place and the incision was closed after a dead heifer calf was retrieved. Starting of the calving, lambing and kidding season with a bang!
