Gold Coast K9

Gold Coast K9 is conducting a 16-hour Agitator Safety Course for police officers or other persons interested in becoming K9 agitators, assisting the K9 handler, or improving their skills as agitators. The purpose of this course is to familiarize participants with modern techniques used to read and stimulate police service dogs as well as achieve the desired results from the PSD in a safe and consistent manner. Participants will work with police service dogs. The course will i...nclude, but not limited to: Agitator Safety Agitators role in creating real world pictures to produce successful training Proper use of equipment How to properly work a PSD during muzzle exercises Utilize bite suit Apprehension placement behind doors Apprehension in vehicles Handler protection Utilizing props for opposition Details: Starting June 16th and concluding June 17th, 2021.
