More than 50% of the population in El Salvador and Guatemala are subsistence farmers or depend upon farming for their livelihoods. Due to the stay-at-home order...s, many of the most vulnerable families were unable to plant their crops in May. They now face another lost harvest which means not being able to feed their families until next year. August is their last window in the year to plant, as the dry season begins in November. We are urgently requesting one-time donations of $85 per farming family of five. $85 donation = 2 acres of corn, beans, & sorghum which will feed a family of 5 for 9 months & generate income.
