After gluing the ash cap to the cherry body and waiting a full 3 days, the clamps are off my #greatguitarbuildoff #teamscratch build #Corycia Now to sand some scrap ash down to make enough ash sawdust to fill the pretty large split in the cap. The #greatguitarbuildoff #teamscratch body of #Corycia is coming along! I was able to darken the sound chambers as well as do the first once-over with a little torch to emphasize the organic shape of the f-holes and to singe-burst the ash cap. So after I recovered from losing 8 gigs of unedited videos, I picked myself up and got back to work on #madhoney my #teamkit build for the #greatguitarbuildoff2021 by spending a great deal of time with the forstner bits and the drill press, roughing out the sound chambers that will eventually be filled with resin-filled honeycomb. #greatguitarbuildoff #goddessguitars #guitarbuildersofinstagram #twomuchfun #savethebees #girlsandguitars

So those of you who know me know I am the mom to two furbabies. Sunday morning is Ixchel's walk where we explore the neighborhood and give her a little 1 on 1 time with momma without Nimue the kitten interrupting. Today was exciting, she spotted a morning dove and tried to stalk it, saw her neighbor kitty friend Dubs, investigated some spicy flies (honeybees) on some sea lavender and got to explore mom's vehicle while I was grabbing my Rockstar.
