* Update on the Gay Men's Spiritual Retreat 2021 * Every June since 1991, GMSR has invited gay men to come up to the mountains of Julian, gather as a community, and work together to foster spiritual growth in a manner that seems best to them. Last year we were unable to hold the annual retreat due to the pandemic. Unfortunately, this year, due to limited capacity restrictions that are expected to continue throughout the summer, and the continuing uncertainties surrounding the... pandemic, the GMSR Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 retreat at Camp Stevens. While we are incredibly saddened to have to cancel the retreat again, we are planning to move forward with our annual BBQ & Beach Bonfire this September and a super fabulous special fundraiser event in December. It will be a truly joyous occasion to see you all there. We are also looking forward to next summer when we will come together up in the mountains once again, reunited, to celebrate our community like never before!

Good afternoon everyone, GMSR is holding space for men to be vulnerable and talk about what is most present within them. This men's council is for those who want to develop a deeper connection to their true nature and uncover obstacles to fulfillment. We will be building a brotherhood of healthy masculinity while embracing our feminine energy and ridding ourselves of toxic masculinity. In council, we will go through several processes including breathwork, meditation, embodiment exercises, and big and small group conversations.

This weekend would have been GMSR 2020. We missed seeing all of you and looking forward to 2021! Everyone stay safe and healthy !

For 28 years, the Gay Men's Spiritual Retreat has sought to enhance the spiritual lives of gay men by sponsoring retreats and related activities through which gay men can examine and improve their spirituality. Every June, GMSR has invited gay men to come up to the mountains of Julian, gather as a community, and work together to foster spiritual growth in a manner that seems best to them. Unfortunately, this year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the GMSR Board of Directors ...has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 retreat at Camp Stevens. During this time of social distancing and elevated anxiety around our health and well-being, community and connections are essential. Social, emotional, and spiritual connections are critical for our community to walk through this crisis together. While we are unable to connect physically at the camp this year, the GMSR Board of Directors is exploring alternative ways for our community to connect. Please stay tuned in the coming weeks as we roll out our plans. While we are saddened to have to cancel this year's retreat, we are also looking forward to next year, our 30th anniversary, when we will come together up in the mountains once again, reunited, to celebrate our community like never before!
