Re: Pastor Robert Shearer as GCCSD English Pastor Dear Brothers and Sisters: By the confirmation of our congregation, we are pleased to announce the calling of Pastor Robert Shearer as English Pastor of Glory Christian Church of San Diego. He has started on 7/20.... Pastor Robert became a born-again Christian in his mid-20s when he was at Newbreak OB church. In 2014, The Lord gave him the heart to serve Him in full-time ministries. He started serving in Newbreak OB Church as a full-time Children’s Director, and then as Associate Pastor at OB One Church. He attended Bethel Seminary and received the Master of Divinity degree in 2019. Pastor Robert has been married to Shari for 5 years, and both are San Diego natives. They have two daughters, aged 3 and 1. They are currently living in Pacific Beach. We thank God for His providence and look forward to years of partnership with Pastor Robert in ministries. Due to rapidly spreading COVID-19 viral infections in the US and based on the recommendations of CDC, our board of deacons and pastors have decided to take the appropriate actions to ensure that all members of the congregation remain safe during these unsettling times. We have decided to cancel all in-person meetings including worship, fellowship, and prayer meetings and replace them with online worship and Zoom video conference meetings. Our worship service will be broadcast... live using Youtube streaming starting Sunday, March 15th, 2020. You can view the worship service by visiting our home page. All congregation members are encouraged to watch the worship online. Worship times will remain the same, 9:15 am for Mandarin service and 11:00 am for English service. For Sunday school, fellowship and prayer meetings, we will conduct them via Zoom video conferencing. We will be providing details of the Zoom conferencing application and how to use it in a separate announcement. If you have any questions, please direct them via email [email protected].
