He was the first Russian writer to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature, and the first emigrant writer whose books began to be published in the Soviet Union. But her work is not limited to one genre: I’m a novelist and poet. Don’t shove me into your damn pigeonhole, where I don’t fit, because I’m all over. My tentacles are coming out of the pigeonhole in all directions." Read your favorite novels in the language you are learning and build your vocabulary. Friends! San Francisco poetry and arts community is striking in full might this coming Saturday, October 24 with Beast Generation Uprising. Globus Books, a small indie bookstore with 50 years of history, joined forces with Beast Crawl Lit Fest, one of the iconic literary festivals in the Bay Area, and Mutiny Radio, a radio station with a history that reads like a novel, to bring you 80 poets and artists at the time when our voices need to be heard.
