Glendale Police Department 05.12.2020

On Tuesday December 8, 2020, at approximately 7:45 a.m., a patrol officer contacted a female, later identified as 27-year-old Loni Korito of Menifee, seated in the passenger seat of a vehicle parked in a red zone with the windows down along the 200 block of S Kenilworth Ave, to the rear of a business. While speaking with Korito, officers noticed a pry tool on the floorboard of the vehicle along with a methamphetamine pipe in the door handle. Korito provided a false name to... officers and stated she was waiting for her boyfriend, later identified as 34-year-old Robert O’Neill of Santa Ana, to return to the vehicle from the business. Korito also admitted that there was cocaine and methamphetamine inside the vehicle. Shortly thereafter, O’Neill returned to the vehicle and was contacted by officers who discovered he was on probation for grand theft and had multiple outstanding arrest warrants. During a search of the vehicle, officers located a key ring with seven manufactured arrow keys (used by postal workers to access collection boxes, outdoor parcel lockers, etc.) along with stolen mail from various addresses, 14 fraudulent credit cards belonging to other people, a check for over $2,000 belonging to someone else, sales receipts showing merchandise purchases in excess of $1,000, crack cocaine, methamphetamine and a substance believed to be fentanyl. Both Korito and O’Neill were arrested and booked on multiple charges including fraud, identity theft and possession of burglary tools. #myglendale #glendaleca #keepglendalesafe

On Thursday, December 3, 2020, at approximately 8:30 p.m., an officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for speeding in the area of Lowell Ave and the 210 Freeway. As the officer approached the vehicle, they could already smell the strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The officer contacted the driver, later identified as 21-year-old Farhan Amhaz of Duarte, regarding the speeding violation. Amhaz and the passengers, one being 22-year-old Vanessa Montoto of Santa Ana, ...all admitted to smoking marijuana earlier in the day and admitted there was marijuana in the vehicle. Backup officers arrived and a search of the vehicle revealed a loaded handgun, six large bags of marijuana in the trunk, evidence that Amhaz and Montoto were involved in the illegal sales of marijuana and just over $2,000 in cash. Both Amhaz and Montoto were arrested and booked for illegal possession of a firearm in a vehicle and marijuana sales. #myglendale #glendaleca #keepglendalesafe
