Hi everyone. We are about $4,200 short of our goal of $12,000 for our year-end fundraiser. I will be personally contributing $1,500, so that leaves $2.700 remaining. Now's the time to get that tax deduction!

Benjamin became our 103rd student to enjoy a first flight lesson. It was mom's first flight in a small aircraft as well!

After a long break in flight operations and with cockpit sterilization measures in place, we have resumed our flight operations for students. Mykhail enjoyed her first lesson in a small aircraft, with brother and sister along for the ride.

We hit a big milestone in October, with our 100th and 101st first flight lessons, enjoyed by DaVinci students Cody and Gary. Thank you for your continued support to help make our mission possible. www.givingkidswingsorg/donate

We were excited to kick off the 2019-2020 school flight season with Apurva and Devin from Torrance this afternoon. They are the 98th and 99th students to receive their first flight lesson. Your support allows us to provide access to the skies for youth today. Thank you to Donovan Burns for his volunteer flight instruction.

GKWFA has graduated its first flight instructor, Melvin Mateo. He is pictured here with his examiner after passing his checkride in mid July. Your donations and support have helped make Melvin's dream a reality and our program a continuing success. Thank you for your support!

Dylan and Brother Aiden had the opportunity to take their first flight lesson at the end of February. Dad was able to ride along as well! Thank you to all our supporters for helping make this possible.

Last week, Ruben and Raam went for their first flight lesson in a small aircraft. Both were super excited. Read their reflections below. "From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, I was in complete shock of the amazing experience I was blessed to have. Every second felt like a dream and I was ready to take control. The feeling of being in the driver's seat and holding the yolk while looking out of the plane was indescribable. The sunset might have been the most beau...tiful sunset I have ever seen in my life. I thank you and the people who were able to make this awesome opportunity come true." Ricky V. "Not many people can say that they have flown a plane, especially before they had driven a car. When I was five I wanted to be a racecar driver. I knew I wanted to be an Engineer, now I am considering being a pilot. Flying was one of the most influential experiences that I have ever had. It allowed me to view where I live from a new perspective. It also showed me where I stand in my life. I would have never thought that I would be flying a plane. GKWFA has given me a new perspective, showed me to keep options open and that anything that can be imagined can be done" Raam P.
