Hello Clients: This goes for our barbershop as well. ***PLEASE READ, SHARED FROM ANOTHER SALON ***... If you are a guest of ours, please read this awesome information and when I get the green light I will be reaching out to you for further information Our new normal after we open Know you were missed terribly and your stylist is grateful for your return.... Know safety measures were created for all involved. Know the importance of coming alone, extra people in a salon compromises everyone. Know your stylist/nailtech cannot physically work 16 hour days 7 days a week, rest is essential for all.. Know your initial services will take more time. Know that coming in sick isn't an option Know that walk-ins will not be an option for some salons- call the salon before you leave home. Know that rescheduling hundreds of clients will take time... Know that when you arrive you will need to wait until your stylist/ nail tech gives you the go ahead before entering the building, having your cell phone handy in your car will help considerably. Know that your stylist/ nail tech is thrilled to see you but doesn't want or need a hug, your presence is the best hug ever. Know that your health is the biggest concern. Know that your stylist/ nail tech may choose to open at a later date than the state your in has allowed, being respectful of that decision takes an unimaginable load off his/ her brain and heart. Know your stylist/ nail tech has already lost thousands of and has no desire to replace it with a ventilator for either of you, be patient. Know that if your health is already high risk, you need to wait, your health is more important.. Know that a 'soft opening ' will be anything but soft. Know that your opinion of the entire situation won't change laws and rules necessary for everyone's safety are, keep the conversation to hair and how we can make you beautiful Know that while trying to connect with your stylist/ nail tech there are hundreds of others attempting the same thing, responses will be slow coming as your stylist is preparing everything and answering everyone simultaneously Know, above all else, no one is more excited about your arrival than your stylist/ nail tech - help make it the best appointment ever!!! Together we can make this work safely for all

Gil's barbershop might look like this soon... haha Finding the sense of humor in something that doesn't make a whole lot of sense right now. https://www.facebook.com/1103649630/posts/10219545132994624/

Gil's Barber Shop 21.01.2021

Dear Clients, The health and safety of both our clients and staff is always our top concern. So, we take seriously the potential spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and are committed to doing our part to prevent it. We continue to monitor guidance from the CDC and WHO and are taking all necessary precautions. We are asking that if you aren't feeling well to please reschedule your service. We will not be able to service anyone with flu-like symptoms. We will be sending bar...bers and staff home if they appear ill. Our staff is to perform extra hand washing throughout the day and hand sanitizer is available at all stations. During this time, we will also not be doing beard trims. We thank you for your understanding. If you have any concerns or questions, please call 818-340-9913. Sincerely, Your Fellow Barber Team at Gil's Barber Shop FAQ What is COVID-19? COVID-19 is the name of the disease caused by a novel strain of coronavirus recently discovered in China. Why are we concerned? We are concerned about the strain, called SARS-CoV-2, that causes COVID-19. It is moving among communities very fast and has some properties that have made public health officials around the world take action. This strain may be present in a lot of people who are not sick and will never get sick. In people who become sick, it also appears to take a long time before they show symptoms while they may still be contagious. But, isn’t it low risk for me? Why do I care? Our clients and barbers are mostly in lower-risk age groups and populations. However, we want to do our part to prevent the spread of the pathogen even among people who will never show any ill effects. In doing so, we help protect the people who are in high risk groups, such as our parents, grandparents, and those who are immunocompromised (such as recipients of organ donation). What are we doing about it? Our teams have been directed to wash their hands more often than usual and use hand sanitizer, which we are providing at every shop. The CDC and WHO have advised that frequent hand washing is the best protective measure any individual can take. We are also limiting our service menu to haircuts during this heightened initial period while officials develop new protocols for screening and testing. Last, we are refusing service to anyone with flu-like symptoms and directing them out of our shops. We will also send home any barber or staff member who is visibly ill. Why limit services? The CDC and WHO have advised people to avoid touching their faces as that is a common way for the virus to transmit. So, we have removed beard trims. Please take care and do your part.
